Liquor License / Insurance:
The Lawton Heritage Community Center does not have a license to sell or distribute liquor. We leave these arrangements up to the LESSEE. And consequently we do not carry liquor liability insurance. This is also the responsibility of the LESSEE.
Your homeowner's insurance policy provides you with liability coverage for food and drink distribution when you act as hosts and the liquor is completely given away for no charge. No money can be present in the bar area and thus our restriction that there be no tipping allowed.
We require that you carry a minimum of $1,000,000 worth of coverage. The LESSEE must provide the LESSOR with a valid certificate of insurance at least three weeks prior to LESSEE's event.
The person whose homeowners policy will be used must also be the person to whom the rental agreement is made out and signed by.
